Below you’ll find the Code of Conduct for the Hub’s community. Everyone is welcome to join the Hub and we want them to feel safe, and supported while using our resources, and interacting with fellow Hub members and our team.

The Code of Conduct below outlines our expectations for behaviour and communication (in group chats as well as direct messaging). Our Safeguarding and Inclusion Policy is linked at the bottom as well.

Hub are responsible for reading, familiarising themselves with the content below, and following the guidance outlined. Failure to do so will result in removal from the Slack community.

<aside> ⚙ Introduction This Code of Conduct details the rules and governing principles for the Community Hub, including behaviour and conduct on our Slack channel, at Hub events (online, in person and in any other format), and contact with other community members.

We want to ensure our community spaces and communication within them remains inclusive, supportive, constructive and free from harassment, abuse, or bullying of any kind.

<aside> 💚 Guiding Values Creative & Constructive - The Hub is a place to create, build and develop on your ideas. Whether you’re venturing into including tech in an existing business, or taking your first steps to develop a new tech start-up. The Hub is the place for brainstorming, feeding back, and developing bright ideas

Supportive - The Hub is a supportive space for peer engagement, accountability and tapping into expert advice on developing a business, engaging in tech and tackling barriers. Engaging with something new is never a linear journey, so revisit this space and let us know what support you need so we can deliver.

Productive - The Hub is a productive space that will help take you from point A to point B. While the community in the Hub might be at different stages of their journey, everyone is trying to make progress - this could be developing themselves personally, getting a prototype off the ground or growing their business.

If anyone experiences a violation of the code of conduct through communication in their direct messages, they are encouraged to report this to the Community Hub Manager.
